Kawasaki and Suzuki Battery Operated Four Wheelers for Kids
These days you can find all sorts of battery operated four wheelers for kids. There’s plenty of variety available in major toy stores, although I have to say, I prefer ordering online due to the convenience. Oh, and not to mention the free delivery which is a huge plus in my book.
Anyway, I noticed the Kawasaki and Suzuki ride-on 4 wheeler models are selling like hot cakes. Why? Well, the reason these two models are selling massively well is because they are simply top-notch in design, performance, fun factor, and overall quality.

I’m sure your child will enjoy riding on this thing. What makes this four-wheeler so much fun is the speed which is not too shabby for a mere toy. The vehicle has two speed settings (2½ mph and 5 mph) and you can change between the two anytime you wish. The default speed setting is 2½ mph and this is the perfect speed setting for beginners.
I think children who are new to this type of toy should stick with this speed setting. Yes, it’s slow and not as fun as the higher speed setting, but it allows your child to get better accustomed to the handling as well as the vehicle’s controls. If you feel your child is ready for the 5mph setting, just plug in the high-speed connector hidden under the seat and watch him zoom away!
This model has good traction and the ability to travel over a variety of surfaces is a major plus. It goes quite smoothly on grass, dirt, and even muddy areas. Another awesome thing about this KFX wheeler is the size which is pretty big. Heck, the thing is big enough for an average sized eight-year old to ride on.
Kids between the ages of three to eight can ride on this, but make sure you don’t go over the maximum weight capacity. This 4-wheeler can only support a max weight of sixty-five pounds. Go over the weight limit and the vehicle will stop operating for a short period of time. That’s one of the safety features of this battery powered four wheeler. Another significant safety feature is the electronic braking system. This brings the vehicle to a halt as soon as your child takes his foot of the pedal.
Clearly this is one of the best 12-volts battery operated four wheelers for kids. The safety features are excellent, the vehicle is solid and has a very rugged appearance, excellent speed settings, plus the handling is not difficult at all. The only drawback for me is the battery’s charging period which is pretty long. It’s eighteen hours for the first charge, while subsequent recharging should be around twelve to fourteen hours.

Here’s a really cool looking Suzuki battery operated four wheeler. It’s very sporty, cute, and the handling is super easy thus it’s perfect for children between three to five years of age. Although the size of this toy vehicle is quite small, it’s still able to support a respectable maximum weight of sixty-six pounds. Even a six or seven year old child could get on this thing – depending on the size/weight of the child of course.
The vehicle’s speed is alright for two to five year old kids. It can only get up to 2.5 mph so it’s very safe for little children. A six year old might want something a little faster, but the younger ones would really enjoy the speed of this ride-on which is actually modeled after the Suzuki ATV R450. If only this model came with two speed settings… Well, I’m sure adding another speed setting would’ve jacked up the price though.
Now, the fun thing about this model is that it can actually make fairly realistic sound effects. Kids really love that racing sound FX. Makes them feel like they’re driving the real thing. In order to produce the racing sound effects, all your child has to do is press the big FX button near the handlebars. Handling is simple enough and the vehicle runs nice and smooth on hard flat surfaces. It can go over grass as well, but not as smoothly.
The Suzuki 4-wheeler has a reverse function and it really works. I’m glad that the manufacturer added this feature because many four wheelers intended for small children do not have a reverse gear. I don’t know why, maybe the manufacturers think that it’s unnecessary for a five year old to learn how to reverse a vehicle. I’m also glad that it’s wasn’t difficult to put together the vehicle. Let me tell you, some battery operated four wheelers for kids can be a nightmare to assemble!
Thank goodness that wasn’t the case with this Suzuki model. About 20 minutes is all it took to put together the parts and components. From my experience, the only downer with this model is that recharging the battery can be a real hassle. To access the battery chamber, you have to unscrew the vehicle’s seat, remove the battery, recharge, put the battery back in, and finally screw the seat back into place. Uuugh! What a pain.
