The Benefits of Buying a Battery Operated 4 Wheelers
I bought a battery operated children’s 4 wheeler for my little daughter, and I’m happy to report that she’s absolutely nuts about it! Shame I was reluctant to purchase one in the beginning…
The reason for my initial hesitance was that I didn’t think that a 4 wheeler would offer my daughter any meaningful benefit. I figured in two or three years’ time, I’d teach her how to ride a bicycle, so what’s the point of buying a wheeler for a 5 year old kid?
Well, the truth is there are many positive points of buying a 4 wheeler for your little kid. Here are the positive points or benefits that I’ve discovered…
1) It Offers a Ton of Fun!
As I mentioned earlier, my daughter is crazy about her 4 wheeler. Every time she drives in that thing, she’d be laughing and giggling like there’s no tomorrow. So the benefit here is that it has the potential to provide so much joy, laughter, and excitement for your child.
I know a handful of parents who bought 4 wheelers for their kids and their feedback have been very positive. Their kids enjoy driving a battery operated 4 wheeler just as much as my daughter, Talia.
2) It Offers a Safe ATV Riding Exposure
I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but there are gas powered children’s 4 wheelers or ATVs currently being sold on the market. They may be more exciting than their battery powered cousins, but safety is a major concern.
The gas powered versions can accelerate a lot faster, thus they aren’t suitable for really young children. The battery operated ones on the other hand, are able to provide practical riding experience for young children in a safe and worry-free manner (adult supervision while riding is still mandatory however). I’m sure your child would value the riding experience.
3) It Helps Improve a Child’s Motor Skills
If you want to improve your child’s motor skills at an early age, a battery powered 4 wheeler is your best bet. When your child gets older, he or she might be interested in driving a regular-sized ATV.
And guess what?
The foundation has been built at an early age! It is likely that your kid will learn how to handle a regular-sized ATV a lot faster due to the motor skills he or she had developed from riding a battery powered four wheeler as a child.
Of course, well developed motor skills can come in handy for operating other types of normal-sized vehicles - not just ATV.
4) It’s Perfect for Children Who Enjoy Lazing Indoors
Some young kids dislike leaving the house. Rather than go out and enjoy the sun and fresh air, or play outdoor games, they prefer to stay inside and fiddle around with their handheld games or action figures.
For these kinds of kids, a 4 wheeler might just be the key to entice them to go out and have fun outdoors. It’s very important for children to get regular outdoor playtime. Healthy outdoor activities are good for a child’s emotional well-being and socialization skills.
So, these are the benefits I can think of at the moment. I noticed that Talia seems a lot more cheerful ever since I bought her a battery operated 4 wheeler. Yes, even her socialization skills have improved considerably.
She used be super shy, but now she talks freely with the other kids at the park. They even take turns driving her 4 wheeler. She’s becoming more and more popular because of that thing! I’m glad I bought it for her.
