Power Wheels with Real Radio
It’s really annoying when you do a search for Power Wheels with real radio, and what you get instead is a list featuring Power Wheels that’s equipped with pretend radios. We want an actual working FM radio darn it! I want my kids to show off their Power Wheels while listening to heavy metal songs – is that asking too much?
Well, I’m kidding of course. I enjoy seeing my kids riding their four wheelers while listening to kid-friendly radio tunes or some super catchy Disney songs. The latter is possible if the Power Wheels model has an MP3 jack. Out of the four Power Wheels with real radio listed below, three actually come with an input for hooking up an MP3 player. How awesome is that? That’s top-level awesomeness is what it is! Come, let’s check them out.

1) Power Wheels Ford F-150
This here is one tough Power Wheels. It’s safe, stable, and it can certainly handle some pretty rough terrains. Your child wants to ride it over mud and grass? Well let him or her go right ahead. The Power Wheels Ford F-150 can take on wet grass and muddy terrains like nobody’s business. The truck bed is very spacious and it’s great that this toy vehicle comes with pretend seatbelts.
It can accommodate two kids at once, so both can have fun riding around the backyard, park, etc. The FM radio works fine and there’s a jack on it for connecting an MP3 player. To order this pretty impressive Power Wheels Ford F-150, just follow the link below.
Attention:
The Power Wheels Ford F-150 is no longer available, but here's an alternative that's just as good, if not better.
2) Power Wheels Cadillac Escalade (Power Wheels with Real Radio but No MP3 Jack)
There’s no MP3 input present in this Cadillac Escalade, but it is fitted with an actual working FM radio. No custom tunes while joyriding – so sad :-( The radio is on the dash and you need a screwdriver to open the battery compartment door, so you could put in the batteries. Four C-size batteries are what you need to get the radio running and they aren’t included in the box. Jeez…wish these toy manufacturers would include some batteries in the package. I know, I know, that would jack-up the production cost, but what can I say? My kids and I want free batteries darn it!
Anyway, the vehicle itself is as solid as they come. It looks nice and rugged, and like the Ford F-150 Power Wheels, the Cadillac Escalade’s durability level is simply top-notch. It’s best to operate this vehicle over hard surfaces such as concrete, pavement, asphalt, etc. The see-through windows are a nice touch, the doors open and close smoothly, and despite its fairly large size, it is not actually that complicated to put together. I’ve always like black colored vehicles (ride-on toys, as well as actual ones) and my kids do too. I highly recommend this.

3) Kid Trax Dodge Viper SRT 12V Ride-On
Now, this ride-on Dodge Viper SRT looks real sleek and stylish. If your kid is a boy and he rides this beauty around the neighborhood, girls are going to be swarming all over him haha! Kidding aside, I ought to point out that this isn’t exactly Power Wheels with real radio. By that, I mean it does come with a real radio complete with Mp3 compatibility, but the toy itself is not a Power Wheels made by Fisher-Price. This ride-on Dodge is by Kid Trax. Don’t worry; though they may not be as well-known as the former, the toys they put out in the marketplace are generally first-class.
I bought a couple of their battery powered toy vehicles previously – a ride-on quad and a ride-on Mini Cooper and they were both excellent. The Dodge Viper SRT you see up there is no different. The radio itself functions like a dream. I bought the Dodge for my nephew, Duane, as his Christmas gift. We plugged in an mp3 player to the input on the radio, and Duane started zooming about while listening to the brilliantly composed Speed Racer original theme song!
Rubber traction strips on all four tires means the Dodge runs with minimal noise compared to other ride-on toy vehicles. Oh, you know how most ride-on toys aren’t fitted with actual working headlights, right? Most have stickers or decals as headlights. Heck, even the first two Power Wheels we covered earlier– impressive as they are, do not have actual headlights on them.
But this Dodge Viper?
LED headlights, all the way ladies and gentlemen! They shine real bright and they certainly lend the toy that authentic look and feel. Duane looks pretty cool, driving around the yard at late evening with the headlights on. I noticed a neighbor’s little daughter has eyes on him already, and while Duane is a cute kid, I think this Dodge ride-on toy is the one cranking up the charm to an insanely high level hahaha! Great toy all-in all, so if you want to buy it online or perhaps you want to gain more details, just go ahead and use the link you see right down here.

4) Peg Perego Gaucho Rock'in Ride-On in Black
Oh wow, would you look at this ride? It’s real sweet on the eye! Yes, once again, this one’s no Power Wheels with real radio - it’s actually a Peg Perego ride-on toy, but so what, right? At the end of the day, what we parents want is a top-grade four wheeler ride-on toy that’s furnished with a real radio, am I right?
Look, I love Fisher-Price’s Power Wheels and so do a lot of parents out there, but most models have pretend radios that play a few preset and brief melodies. So, far I’ve only found a handful of Power Wheels with real radio, and the ones I’ve purchased personally are the Ford F-150 and the black Cadillac Escalade. So, if you don’t mind the lack of “Power Wheels’ name on the box, then this Gaucho Rock'in by Peg Perego is worth consideration.

What’s not to like about it, eh? The vehicle looks real sweet; it’s equipped with a highly responsive steering wheel, rear suspension springs, tires with great traction, and truly rugged body. All these positive attributes translate into a super smooth ride, as your child is able operate the vehicle and traverse over various hard surfaces, grassy areas, mud and dirt with minimal hassle (though it does travel significantly quicker on hard surfaces).
Of course, there’s a real FM radio on it along with a jack input for connecting an mp3 player. They all work well and as if those things I just mentioned aren’t enough, the toy maker actually went out of their way by throwing in a cute toolbox containing a set of pretend tools, plus a horn that actually honks! Easy to assemble and tons of fun for the kids – can’t get any better than that.
